Phillipa has worked in different roles helping people experiencing various forms of disadvantage. Most recently she was the Local Area Coordinator with the Brotherhood of Saint Lawrence and during this time she found she wanted more direct involvement in a role that supported people directly. She completed a Masters degree in Social Work and attended work placement with people living with Intellectual Disability. This was the work that set her on her path to helping and supporting those living with disability.
Phillipa is currently undertaking a Professional Doctorate in Social Work where she is researching the unique experiences mothers of children living with Autism Spectrum Disorder have in everyday life. Phillipa was looking for a place which devoted a solid and genuine commitment to the wellbeing of people living with disability. She was thrilled to find this at Care Support Network along with experienced staff that were case focused and committed to their clients. Phillipa is passionate about goal achievement, connecting her clients with the community and increasing their quality of life.
